Where Is The Time To Stand And Stare?

This was the first poem I wrote, in 8th standard as much as my memory tells  me.It would always stand special to me, no matter how simple. UNEDITED, completely, here is my first poem. I was a little skeptical about posting this.But matters of heart..oh they leave you option-less.

WHERE IS THE TIME TO STAND AND STARE?

Where is the time to stand and stare,
When competition is everywhere?

Whether industries or politics,
Or take theatre and academics.

When people succeed everywhere,
Where is the time to stand and stare?

Corruption has accompanied competition.
Truth and justice require ignition.

Our talents need to be explored.
Where is the time to get bored?

When degradation is everywhere,
where is the time to stand and stare?

Making promises or giving speeches,
Or just learning what the teacher teaches,
Are not the the only things to be done,
As among us action has been taken by none.

Saving the Earth is our main objective,
For which we have to become active.

Where is the time to stand and stare?
When crime is everywhere.

Rapes, kidnaps, bribes and violence,
Tell me if terrorism is not a serious offence.

It is the time for us to unite,
To come together and fight.

Now answer me,
Where is the time to stand and stare
When modernisation is everywhere?
